I have been a professional writer for most of my career, working initially as a business journalist in London and latterly as a magazine publisher in Hong Kong. Much of that time has been spent covering emerging markets, particularly in Europe during the fall of the Iron Curtain and in Asia, monitoring the evolution of Greater China and Southeast Asia.
